DC Firefighters Burn Foundation Announces Partnership with Founding Farmers Co. Catering & Events

Washington, D.C. — The DC Firefighters Burn Foundation (DCFFBF) is proud to announce a new partnership with Founding Farmers Co. Catering & Events, the full-service catering and events team from the family of restaurants behind Founding Farmers.

The partnership kicks off with a special luncheon provided by Founding Farmers for the dedicated burn unit staff at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. The luncheon honors the physicians, nurses, therapists, and care teams who show up every day to provide extraordinary care to pediatric burn survivors and their families.

DC Firefighters Burn Foundation members joined the burn unit staff at Children’s National Hospital for a luncheon provided by Founding Farmers Co. Catering & Events, recognizing the dedicated team caring for pediatric burn survivors and their families.

The Children’s National burn team provides world-class care to young patients facing some of the most difficult injuries imaginable. Their work doesn’t stop in the operating room or hospital floor — it continues through rehabilitation, recovery, and the long journey of healing that follows.

Supporting these medical professionals has long been part of the Foundation’s mission.

For more than two decades, our mission has been to support burn survivors and the professionals who care for them,” said Jason Woods, President of DCFFBF. “We are deeply grateful for partners like Founding Farmers who understand that caring for a community starts with showing up for the people doing the hard work.”

At Founding Farmers Co. Catering & Events (FFC&E), hospitality is rooted in connection. Majority owned by American family farmers — including the North Dakota Farmers Union — their team is known for scratch-made cuisine, thoughtful sourcing, and meaningful, intentional experiences. Their belief that how an event feels matters just as much as how it tastes mirrors the Foundation’s own commitment to care that heals both body and spirit.

This partnership feels natural,” said Megan Zebrak, Managing Partner of FFC&E. “Both of our organizations are community-focused, operating in DC for decades. Both believe in service. And both understand that bringing people together around a table can be powerful.

The partnership will continue on May 9th at Night at the Navy Yard, the Foundation’s annual gala, where Founding Farmers Co. Catering & Events will serve as the exclusive culinary partner.

Guests will experience a wide variety of delicious food and drink that have been part of our great city’s landscape since Founding Farmers opened in 2008.

This is more than a catering partnership,” said Jason Woods. “It’s an opportunity for our supporters to gather, celebrate, and experience the best of D.C. hospitality — all while supporting burn survivors and advancing pediatric burn care.

Tickets for Night at the Navy Yard are available now. Join us for an evening of great food, community, and support for burn survivors.
