The D.C. Firefighters Burn Foundation is honored to be the beneficiary of this weekendβs DC Fire Hockey Tournament, hosted by the amazing team at DC Fire Hockey.
We are incredibly grateful for their continued support and dedication to our mission of helping burn survivors and injured firefighters throughout the D.C. region.
The tournament features 24 teams composed of public safety professionals competing over three days at the Gardens Ice House in Laurel, MD.
Admission is free, and donations are accepted throughout the event.
Please note: Saturday nightβs 8:10 PM game (4/5) is a special benefit gameβa $10 donation is requested, with proceeds going to support the families of Lt. Rob Heaney and Lt. Chris Higgins.

Six MedStar burn survivors are spending the week at the Adaptive Sports Center, diving into outdoor adventures and soaking up that Colorado magic.
Earlier this week - it was all about getting geared up and hitting the slopesβsome are learning to ski or snowboard for the first time, others are sharpening their skills!
The group is staying together in a cozy mountain house, and the connection is instant. Shared experiences have sparked deep conversations, tons of laughter, and a very competitive game of Bullsh*t (the card game, promise!).
This week is all about healing through movement, nature, and the kind of peer support that reminds you youβre not in it alone.
