On Friday August 14, 2009 the Foundation hosted a fundraiser for the Tunnel to Towers Run at the Town Tavern in Adams Morgan. Thanks to the hard work of John Landi, Danny Lovato and Julie Widenhouse we raised over $2,000 in a few short hours. The night’s events included a firefighter and nurse guest bartender, 50/50 drawing, and a fireman and nurses bachelor and bachelorette auction. We would like to give a special thanks to several members of the Emerald Society Pipes and Drums who made a guest appearance at the event. We also would need to thank the Town Tavern.
